The Black Women’s Political Caucus of Muskegon County, Michigan enthusiastically endorses Ken Johnson for Mayor of the City of Muskegon.

As a current City of Muskegon Commissioner, Ken Johnson has demonstrated a deep knowledge and understanding of the City of Muskegon and the needs of its residents. He has shown a willingness to ask the tough questions, generating more engagement and better decision-making by the Commission.

Ken Johnson has a strong commitment to City residents and is proactive in gathering information through listening to constituents, for example at Town Halls and Neighborhood Association meetings. Notably, Ken is great at following up and informing residents about important, impactful issues. Additionally, his business and finance background has been extremely helpful.

Ken Johnson’s honesty, integrity, and visionary leadership are valuable assets. His pragmatic yet hopeful insight into our community’s needs along with his willingness to examine issues and listen closely to the public’s concerns, demonstrate his love for and service to Muskegon’s residents.

These attributes and qualities are requirements in effective leadership roles. We therefore endorse Ken Johnson for Mayor of the City of Muskegon.
